African Painted Dogs

Step into the wild

Longleat set out to create an engaging, educational space for their new African Painted Dogs exhibit. I led the project from concept to delivery, developing a cohesive visual identity spanning multiple zones—including pack information, a carnivore comparison wall, a mock field station, and an area highlighting conservation charity TUSK.

The design drew on the dogs’ diverse African habitats, combining a vibrant, earthy colour palette with in-house fonts and bold patterns inspired by traditional African textiles. While staying true to Longleat’s established brand, the visual language introduced fresh elements to make the exhibit feel distinct and immersive. This identity was applied consistently across all touchpoints, creating a unified and memorable experience.

Since launching, the enclosure has exceeded expectations for visitor engagement. The design has helped educate audiences while enhancing their connection to this remarkable species.
